Yello, as Redding Writers Forum new Technology Director it has come to my attention that current member and old members are worried about receiving emails from our website.
This is nothing new, but the emails contained stuff such as, “Learn to Style in CSS” or “Create Static Sites Using HTML.” These were just ‘dummy’/demo content. It allows someone to see what the site will look like with content on it. So, as it was made it sent an email notification to those who had had email notifications already set up on the old RWF website.

The old site also had a page for 2024 Book Fair, I transferred/changed it to a post to archive it so that explains why some people received an email about that.
The old site which was hosted at WordPress.com was changed a few years ago to Wix.com. We have changed it back to WordPress.com as it will save RWF money in the long run (wix.com $204 year; wordpress.com $96 a year).
Unsubscribe from Email Notifications
If you are no longer an active RWF member you will still receive these emails as you signed up for it at some point when you were a member. If you no longer wish to receive these email updates/notifications in the email near the bottom, simply click the link that says: UNSUBSCRIBE and you will no longer receive email notifications.
Closing
Please note that new content for the website will begin shortly. Besides utilizing the blog of WordPress, the site also has a news section, events section (under construction), and it will also have a guide section (writing tutorials and advice).
We hope to continue seeing you at RWF meeting or hope you will rejoin.
