Alicia,
How does a member post writing samples to the web site? Do I need to set up a WordPress account to do so?
Hi, George,
I’m so glad you’re interested in posting to the new site. We’re going to be featuring writings by members every Monday. Please email your pieces to me at writersforumwebmaster@gmail.com. Please include a few sentences on how each piece came to fruition along with a photo of yourself. Our first Member Monday is tomorrow. Be sure to check it out. I’m looking forward to your submissions!

Who would be best to connect with concerning having a book looked at
thats been written?
I am self publishing a book about a real ghost town that’s been uninhabited since the early 1980’s. I want to use a picture of an old house located in the town as my cover. I have no clue as to finding the owner for his permission to use my photo. Most of the former residents are either dead or dying. The house has no value other than on the cover. Can I be sued if the owner does surface? What would I be liable for….a portion of the sales? A negotiated fee amount? The book is ready to print and I’m out of time. Suggestions??
Thanks,
Jim Reimer

Alicia, your web page expired 11 days ago!
Noticed that the “Contact Us” page needs updated. Might be a good time to also “Announce” that a Director at Large position has become available.
Just wanted to sign up to read on Dec. 10th.
Awesome, Jim! I can’t wait to hear your piece. The sign up sheet will be at the front table where you check in at the meeting. See you there!

Oops! Hello, my name is Michael. I am an aspiring author and motivational speaker. I am interested in meeting other aspiring and published authors to bounce thought and gain tips from. Is there a writing group in the Redding area? Is there a cost and when and where is the meeting? Also, what is the time. Looking forward to meeting you.
Howdy, Michael. Yes, we are the writers group for Redding. We meet the second Saturday of every month except over the summer. Our next meeting is on February 10 at All Saints Episcopal Church. All of the information is on the home page of our website here. Look on the sidebar on the right.
The first two meetings are free, so that you can have some time to decide if we are a good fit for you. Annual dues are then $25.
We also have a Facebook page that you can follow. All meeting information is posted there.
If you have any further questions, you can e-mail me at writersforumeditor@gmail.com .
Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you in February.

I saw you folks liked and shared my Hemingway piece. THANKS. I have a good number of pieces, not about Papa, but certainly influenced by him. Would love to share. But I’m in NY. Drop me a line if it’s possible remotely.
Hello,
My son (19) is new to the writing world
He has completed his first book and is in need of an editor. After some research he’s decided the self publishing route is for him.
We’re wondering if we have any local editors we can contact? Any help is appreciated!
Thank you!
