  1. I have a friend, whos very accomplished
In many areas of life, who has writin a
Remarkable book and needs help and
Direction on what to do next. Would your
Organization be able to give him some
Guidance on what to do next?

  2. I am self publishing a book about a real ghost town that’s been uninhabited since the early 1980’s. I want to use a picture of an old house located in the town as my cover. I have no clue as to finding the owner for his permission to use my photo. Most of the former residents are either dead or dying. The house has no value other than on the cover. Can I be sued if the owner does surface? What would I be liable for….a portion of the sales? A negotiated fee amount? The book is ready to print and I’m out of time. Suggestions??

    Thanks,

    Jim Reimer

Is there a writing group in the Redding area? Is there a cost and when and where is the meeting? Also, what is the time. Looking forward to meeting you.

    • Howdy, Michael. Yes, we are the writers group for Redding. We meet the second Saturday of every month except over the summer. Our next meeting is on February 10 at All Saints Episcopal Church. All of the information is on the home page of our website here. Look on the sidebar on the right.

The first two meetings are free, so that you can have some time to decide if we are a good fit for you. Annual dues are then $25.

We also have a Facebook page that you can follow. All meeting information is posted there.

If you have any further questions, you can e-mail me at writersforumeditor@gmail.com .

  10. Hello,
My son (19) is new to the writing world
He has completed his first book and is in need of an editor. After some research he’s decided the self publishing route is for him.

We’re wondering if we have any local editors we can contact? Any help is appreciated!
    Thank you!
