Monthly Meeting Information and Short Story Summer

We have been advised by All Saints Episcopal Church that due to the coronavirus outbreak, our regular meeting room, Eaton Hall East, will not be available for gatherings until further notice.

To cooperate with current guidelines regarding the spread of this infection, the board of Writers Forum has decided to suspend our regular monthly meetings until this pandemic is no longer a threat to the health of the public.

Our tentative plan is to reschedule our special event with Dr. Judy Melinek and T.J. Mitchell for February 13, 2021. We will continue to update our members with emails and notices on our website, and Queen Laura will be writing you encouraging letters in the meantime.

To keep us focused on writing, the board has designated the next few months as Short Story Summer, with a contest to run from May to September. We will be posting entries in our short story contest as they are received. All members in good standing are eligible to participate in the contest and have received details about the contest.

Please stay safe and take comfort in your writing.

Spoken Word Night

Spoken Word night is the third Friday at 7:30. People can just come at 7:30 or a few minutes early and let Nadia, the hostess, know they wish to read. There is no advance sign up and no door fee, although we do gratefully accept donations. We have complimentary wine and coffee available for which we also accept donations. If you have further questions, best would be to give us your number and good times to call, and Nadia can call you back.
